Why Diversity AND Inclusion in fashion is IMPORTANT!! | Sista Talks

#shopping #glam #instastyle #fashion #makeup #style

Hey everyone! We are super excited to share a new series on our channel called “Sista Talks”. This series will feature us talking about different topics/issues that are important to us. Expect a range of topics with this new series, we want to be real and candid with you all!

For our first “Sista Talks” video, we dived into the controversial topic of diversity and inclusion in fashion. Historically, the fashion industry has been known to exclude people of color when in reality people of color start almost every fashion trend you can think of. We wanted to bring this conversation to light. Because we love fashion and want to be a part of this industry, we want to continue to use our platform and content to showcase inclusive imagery that we want to see in mainstream fashion media. We believe anyone can be a part of the fashion industry no matter what size, race, sex, or gender etc!!

What are you thoughts on the fashion industry?

Soo true!!! Many situations of brands missing the mark could have been avoided if they had those they are trying to reach in the room and actually listen to what they have to say then we would have more inclusion and diversity
