Posted at 13:40h, 11 FebruaryIt boils down to supply and demand. 8yrs ago the demand was low so the price was high. Now the demand is high the prices are “low.” We do have to consider over-saturation too. The more over saturated it is the less quality of a product, which I think is a concern that I have seem discussed among naturals, who say, the formula has changed etc etc. Do I think it is a ”complaint” per se? No, it’s just that when you are a “newbie” you get overwhelmed by the many choices and wind up thinking am I taking on too much? Because it’s so much to learn…….🤷🏽♀️

Posted at 13:40h, 11 Februaryits a good thing if they're black owned.

Posted at 13:40h, 11 FebruaryI totally agree with you about having variety but I think we need to make the distinction between supporting white corporations that are just jumping on a bandwagon and supporting companies that are run by people that look like us. Just because there are a lot of products on the shelves doesn't mean they are all good.

Posted at 13:40h, 11 FebruaryI love the fact that we finally have products that we can chose from

Posted at 13:40h, 11 FebruaryNo one is complaining about options for white women so why would we complain about black business flourishing by providing us with so many options. And there's enough to completely support black-owned businesses 😊

Posted at 13:40h, 11 FebruaryIt's a good thing because you have a lot to choose from but, a bad thing because they price the natural hair products so high that you can barely afford the products, especially if you're washing your hair weekly or biweekly. Total be about $84 for 3-4 items.

Posted at 13:40h, 11 FebruaryJenell, I totally agree with you. I cannot believe there are complaints about the market becoming saturated with black hair care products. I say it’s about d*m time! There’s still a lot we can complain about, but this ain’t one of them!

Posted at 13:40h, 11 FebruaryI love the fact that we have so many choices. It is making companies that never even thought of including a black hair care line stand up and take notice. Natural hair is here to stay and I love it!!!

Posted at 13:40h, 11 FebruaryOptions are always a plus. I've kissed a few frogs before I found my prince charming in hair care. Thus far I have found a staple shampoo, conditioner, and deep conditioner. I am open to stylers although I think after 6 years I may have found my staple styler. I try to stay disciplined, so if I find something that works well that's it.

Posted at 13:40h, 11 FebruaryI love all the options. We all have different hair with different needs and now we are able to shop around and find more than one thing that works for out hair. I LOVE IT. I'm not mad at anyone for creating a great product and getting their money.

Posted at 13:40h, 11 FebruaryI swear
I use Giovanni shampoo and deep conditioner, aloe vera juice and grape seed oil to style PERIOD.
I CANNOT AND WILL NOT spend my money trying out all these products. But yes, we now have a lot of options. Im just happy I discovered my perfect combo and my hair is flourishing. 😅

Posted at 13:40h, 11 FebruaryI don't think it's good because these companies jumping on the natural hair products, that's not natural, I would rather make my own, most of them are too pricey

Posted at 13:40h, 11 FebruaryI agree with you. No complaints here!!! The expansion of natural hair products is always a good thing! As mentioned, everyone's hair is different. Just focus on what works for you. I definitely don't want to go back to the days of bare bones options for natural hair!

Posted at 13:40h, 11 FebruaryI'm appreciative of options for our Natural Hair. It allows me to have faves and achieve different styles that work for our hair. I don't miss the bleaching nor the spritz. Lol Great video Jenell.
